Spotlight: WCA Science Fest & the Precious Plastic Project
In November 2024, we hosted the First Annual Nosara Science Festival, an interactive event that welcomed 62 participants of all ages and raised over $4,000 to support conservation efforts. Attendees engaged with hands-on projects like sea turtle monitoring, water quality testing, and wildlife observation.
Additionally, the Precious Plastic Nosara project equipped the Nosara Recicla center with innovative recycling tools, including a plastic shredder and injection machine. With training provided to local employees, this initiative is transforming waste into reusable items.
